Fixed-price custom software development

Migration, modernization, or a clean build from zero, delivered at a fixed price agreed before the work starts. You get a number you can put in a budget and defend, instead of an hourly estimate that drifts for eight months.

This fits when

You need a number you can take to a board, not a range
The last vendor's estimate doubled, and then doubled again
Procurement needs a scope and a price before anything can start

What we take on

Migration

Moving a working system off a runtime, framework, or platform that is running out of road, without stopping delivery while it happens.

Modernization

Keeping the parts that work and replacing the parts that do not. Same product, foundations your team can change without holding their breath.

Clean build

Starting from zero when starting from zero is genuinely the cheaper answer, which is less often than people hope and more often than they fear.

How it works

Send an RFP with the scope as you understand it. If it is not clear enough to price honestly we will say so, and usually propose an audit first, because a fixed price against a scope nobody understands is a fiction that ends badly for both sides. Once the scope is agreed the price is fixed, and the cost of getting there is ours to manage.

Common questions

What should the RFP contain?

What the system does, what you want it to do instead, any hard constraints such as compliance, platform, or deadline, and who we would be working alongside. If none of that is written down yet, an audit produces it.

What happens if the work turns out to be bigger than expected?

That is what fixed price means: the risk is ours. What does change the price is you changing the scope, and that is handled as a written change rather than a surprise on the invoice.

Can you work alongside our existing team?

Yes, and it usually goes better that way. We document as we go so your team ends up owning the result rather than depending on us to keep it running.
